Rebecca's graduation

We were able to attend our daughter in law's graduation on December 13, and 14. She completed her nursing degree in record time. She will take her "final" test on January 17th and then will begin her new job January 22nd. She is amazing!
It was fun being with Justin and Rebecca and seeing their very cute apartment and how they have decorated it together! They have done a great job.
We experienced our first taste of real snow and cold weather of the season. It was very cold in Idaho and they have alot of snow.
We were also able to stay with my sister in Salt Lake and visit with her family. They also had alot of snow!
Danielle and baby Logan came with us and what a good baby he was throughout the entire trip. It is about a 14 hour drive.
This was the first time Justin and Rebecca had seen Logan and that was special!
We met Brooke & Liam Tuesday morning on our way home, they are in Utah spending Christmas, so Danielle was able to meet Liam and Brooke was able to meet Logan. It was fun seeing both these baby boys together. We think they look alot alike, especially the dark hair and lots of it!
Justin and Rebecca are spending Christmas this year in Arizona with Rebecca's parents. Brooke and Will and Liam are in Utah with Will's parents.
Earl and I will spend Christmas in Albuquerque with Alysha and her family and Danielle and her family.
Have a wonderful 2008 eveyrone!

Visiting in Alexandria with Brooke, Will & Liam

I was fortunate to get to go and visit Brooke, Will and Liam for about 10 days. We did so much and had alot of fun. Liam is such a good baby and has such a cute personality. He is really growing too. We took him to the lighting of the National Christmas Tree and he slept through the whole thing, we had him all bundled up, we froze, but he was nice and toasty warm. We went shopping, baked goodies, went to a movie, and just had a great time.
We even enjoyed a little "early Christmas present opening". Papa and I bought Liam a Baby Einstein activity center, it is like a walker, but has a saucer bottom and toys all the way around the top with a seat that will turn 360 degrees. The first time we put him in it, he went wild for all the different toys to play with! It was so fun watching him enjoy it.

Elaine & Danielle

Elaine is the lady with Danielle. She hosted the shower at her home and did a wonderful job. Doesn't Danielle look so cute. She is so ready to have this baby! The hot weather is hard on a pregnant lady, her ankles were swollen and it was pretty hot that day, so we were all feeling for her!

Baby Shower for Baby Logan & Mom Danielle

Well to update everyone, we had a baby shower for Danielle and baby Logan on Saturday at Elaine Smith's home in Los Lunas. Danielle and Logan got some cute things, lots and lots of diapers, wipes, a walker, a stroller, pack and play, the crib bedding, (dinosaurs), some of the cutest clothes ever, socks, rattles, pacifers, baby bath stuff, gift cards, blankets, a privacy nursing wrap (where were those when I was having babies), bottle warmers, bottles, wonderful stuff.
They have the greatest stuff for moms and babies today. Thanks to everyone who got to come and gave such wonderful gifts.
Here are some pictures from the shower:

Grandbabies, and they are "Grand"

I was fortunate to get to be with Will & Brooke for a few days prior to Liam's birth. Brooke was feeling good, so we went shopping, out to lunch and waited for the big day. Liam took his sweet time arriving. He was wanting to make a "grand entrance" and that he did. After a long labor, which by the way, Brooke did great and was a champ through all of it, Liam arrived after a C-section was performed.
His is such a beautiful little boy. His coloring and eyes and hair all remind me so much of Brooke when she was a baby. People used to tell me that she looked like a "China doll".
It was special to be there for my first grandson, our second grandbaby! He is already such a special little boy and we are thrilled to share in his parents joy.
We are excited for Liam and Savannah to meet and have pictures with the two grandbabies. They are both so sweet, so cute and adorable, and I know most grandparents really say that, but it is TRUE! They could be poster babies for "Cute".
This blog is dedicated to my grandbabies and there is one more baby coming this year, October 14th, a boy, he will be called Logan Earl Gonzalez and we are excited for him to join our family circle.
Savannah and Liam have truly touched my heart and brought so much joy already to my life...You cannot doubt that they are truly straight from the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Can't wait for all the fun times that lie ahead!!!! Stay tuned.

Hello from DC!

This picture is from the night I arrived. I went to dinner with Brooke, Will (and Liam) and then walked along the pier in Old Town Alexandria. Doesn't Brooke look great? We're just waiting for baby Liam to make his appearance. I am anxiously waiting my first grandson! I'll be in touch.

We are excited for Danielle and JJ who are trying to purchase their first home. We should know something this week. That would be so wonderful for them, with their new baby due in October. The house needs alot of work, but JJ can do almost anything and would do alot of the work himself with help of family and friends.
We are going to Ft. Collins, CO to visit my sister while Earl has a Basketball camp at CSU. It is a WAC camp and we hope Earl might be offered a Division I contract to officiate Division I BB.
I am getting excited about my upcoming visit to my daughter Brooke's. Her baby is due July 13, but she would be happy if the baby decided to come "early". We can't wait to welcome this new baby boy.

I am excited to work on my new blog and share events happening in my life with all my new grandbabies coming this year. We already have our sweetheart Savannah who is now 4 months old! Liam due very soon (July 13) and I get to go visit Brooke, Will and baby Liam for a few days in Virginia, and Logan due October 14th. Wow, 3 new babies in one year. Won't we have fun next Christmas if everyone gets to come home with 3 toddlers all under 2!!!!! I better get to work childproofing my house.
I look forward to learning how to do more on my blog and have fun posting pictures and sharing all the baby stories!
